Psalm 132:6-7, 9-10, 13-14
The responsorial psalm for our vigil Mass comes from Psalm 132, a liturgical hymn celebrating the ark’s arrival in Jerusalem and God’s covenant with David.
In the context of the Assumption, it points to God choosing a dwelling place among his people — a reality the Church sees fulfilled in Mary, the living Ark, now brought into her eternal dwelling in heaven.
