Introduction

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross dates back to the 4th century, when Saint Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, discovered the True Cross in Jerusalem. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was dedicated on that site in 335 AD. Today, the Church invites us not only to recall this historic event but to lift our eyes to the Cross itself — not as a symbol of defeat, but as the very sign of victory, healing, and eternal life.
