Introduction

The Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph celebrates the model of love, faith, and unity exemplified by the family of Nazareth. Observed within the Christmas season, this feast typically falls on the Sunday following Christmas, or on December 30 if Christmas itself is a Sunday.

As we honor the Holy Family, we are reminded that Jesus, in becoming human, entered into the ordinary experience of family life, sanctifying it and showing us how our own families can be places of holiness.
